International Womens Day

I went to see Bridget Jones, mad about the boy, in the cinema and it was absolutely brilliant! I don't know if it was because I had grown up with Bridget but this one was the one that linked the most to my time in life, right now. I laughed, I cried - a lot (!) and I came out of the cinema so happy and content and understood.

I felt empowered and enjoyed the reminder to live our lives now. To enjoy what we are doing, who we are with, and where we go. As her Dad said "you can't just survive, you have to live".

I then spent the rest of that week reminding myself of that quote. Too often we just get by...well that isn't enough.

Later that week I went networking at the women in business event in Stevenage and celebrated women and all that we do. We have come so far and yet we still have a way to go...
