I have been running a challenge to Live in the Moment. To do this we need to focus on our senses and allow them to become really aware of all that is around us. So far we have allowed our sense of hearing to listen to the birds, our horses munching the grass, laughter and anything ekse that makes us smile.
We continued with our sense of smell and touch, enjoying, for me hugging my animals and smelling the horses!!
We are now at day 3 and we are looking at our sense of sight. It is so easy to spend our days staring at our phones. It makes me so sad when I see people out walking but not looking around them, but on their phones. Today I want you to be mindful of what is all around you and notice something you have never seen before.
Your brain will only show you things that you have said is important to you so ask for something new, look for something different. Go outside determind to find new growth, in the soil, the plants, and the trees. Everytime you look outside or go outside challenge yourself to see something else, count how many birds you can see, find an animal in a cloud. How many of you have got to the end of your day and didn't look up once? Did you see the sky, like really see it or do you know it's blue ish and so that will do.
Everything that we have done so far is awakening your senses so you can change your outlook, tweak what is important to you. If we surround ourselves with beauty, happiness, calm, growth, real, amazing stuff that is happening every day, guess what...? We feel happier, calm and striving for amazing growth.
I feel so strongly about how we view the world correlating to how we view ourselves. Look at the world in wonder and be amazed at how it reflects on to you and how incredible you are too.
If you are struggling to believe this, message me, and if you haven't already had one, book in a free call and I can help you feel that clarity and belief in yourself.
Have the most amazing day spotting the signs of spring, looking up at the sky and into the distance and enjoying the beauty and wonder that is all around us.
Tomorrow we will be doing some mindful eating, which works out wonderfully as I am off out for a meal in the evening! To be fair though, this doesn't always have to be when you are out, to be fair it is better when you can sit quietly, shut your eyes and really savour the flavour of whatever you might be eating. Chocolate is always a good one to practice with and yummy too!
Using our senses to become more mindful allows you to live in the moment more and truly appreciate all that we have. Enjoy taking your time to really awaken your senses.
